Bankruptcy
At Wolfe Van Wey & Associates, we are a debt relief agency that helps people file for bankruptcy relief under the United States Bankruptcy Code. There are two main types of bankruptcy relief available to individuals:
Chapter 7 - Liquidation - This is the most common form of bankruptcy relief for individuals, and it results in the complete discharge of most unsecured debts, including credit cards and medical bills. Most Chapter 7 bankruptcies can be filed within a few days of providing us with certain documentation, and discharge is often obtained within 90 days of filing.
Chatper 13 - Reorganization - This is a longer process than Chapter 7, lasting 3-5 years from filing. However, through this procedure, debtors are often able to keep their homes and vehicles. In Chapter 13 bankruptcy, all unsecured debts are repaid at a percentage between 0 and 100 depending on the debtor's income.
